SPAR has once again pledged its support to Lancashire’s leading running event as the primary sponsor of the SPAR City of Preston 10K, delivered by health and wellbeing charity the Running Bee Foundation.
More than one thousand runners are expected to take to the streets of Preston on Sunday 25th September for the 10K and the Running Bee Foundation feel they have planned the best edition yet.
The race also sees the return of MyFirst™ Mile, an initiative created and delivered by the Foundation which encourages people of all ages to complete a mile and begin their health and fitness journey, whether they run, walk or jog.
Starting and finishing in the historic Flag Market where the athlete’s village will be located, the 10K route will take in Preston’s picturesque Avenham Park, before the riverside section swings back towards the city centre for the finish.
All finishers will receive a commemorative SPAR City of Preston 10K medal and technical T-shirt, and the race includes official chip timing, route markers at every kilometre, and a fully marshalled route.
People can register and find out more about the SPAR City of Preston 10K event on the Running Bee Foundation website here.
SPAR is sponsoring the event for a second time in association with James Hall & Co. Ltd, SPAR’s primary wholesaler and distributor for the North of England, based at Bowland View.
