James Hall & Co. have proudly sponsored the Birkdale Summer Fayre 2019, an annual community event which was enjoyed by reams of local residents.

Held in the centre of Birkdale Village in Southport on Saturday 2nd August, the fayre stretched the length of the high street and included many local traders and community groups, including team members from G&E Murgatroyd SPAR Birkdale and Graham Eyes High Class Butchers.

Visitors were treated to mouth-watering barbeque treats from Graham Eyes’ barbeque stall including sweet chilli pork steak, pork finger rolls and steak and onion barms, and Clayton Park Bakery’s delectable sweet treats were also on offer, with all proceeds going towards SPAR’s champion charity, Marie Curie.

Local residents will soon be able to purchase Graham Eyes’ delicious quality meat from the newly refurbished SPAR Birkdale store, which sits at the heart of the village and is due to re-open after a full refurbishment on Thursday 15th August.

The company’s vintage vehicle also attended the event, showcasing James Hall & Co.’s rich local heritage and connection with Southport’s community since 1863.

Julie McAulay, Company Stores Director at James Hall & Co. said: “We were delighted to be able to continue our support of the Birkdale Village community and support a lovely, summer event that brings residents and local businesses together.”
