SPAR Alston has benefited from a store refurbishment and the addition of new facilities including a butchery counter and fresh deli offering.
Serving the village since 2012, the forecourt site has remained open during the refurbishment, launching its newest facilities on Thursday 27th May.
The 3,000 sq. ft. SPAR store now offers a Graham Eyes High Class Butchers counter: a trusted North West family brand known for great produce and locally sourced meat. The counter offers a selection of loose and pre-packed produce, award winning sausages and delicious homemade ready meals.
The new deli counter features products from Clayton Park Bakery, a well-known North West brand, famous for supplying mouth-watering pies to football clubs including Liverpool FC and Everton FC. Clayton Park’s delicious pies will be available in the new Clayton Park Deli, alongside freshly baked bread, hot and cold deli produce and made-to-order sandwiches.
The new deli also includes Asian spiced produce from Bolton’s Fazila Foods, including samosas, curries and spiced sandwiches. Fazilas’ frozen range of samosas and pizzas are also available in the store.
In addition, the store also features SPAR’s freshly ground Fairtrade 100% Arabica coffee brand, Cheeky Coffee, F’Real milkshakes and a Tango Ice Blast machine.

The forecourt site has 10 Texaco fuel pumps, air and water, and a jet wash facility.
SPAR Alston is open 6am to 10pm, 7 days a week.
