SPAR G&E Murgatroyd Warton has been awarded the Northern England Forecourt Trader Award 2019, for sites up to 4MLPA (4 million litres per annum).

The Forecourt Trader Awards celebrate the very best of forecourt sites across the UK, honouring the hard work, innovation and creativity of forecourt retailers at a glamourous, national event. This year’s awards evening was held at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge, London and prizes were handed out by former World Cup winning rugby player and TV personality, Matt Dawson.

SPAR G&E Murgatroyd Warton features a fantastic, family run butchery counter, Graham Eyes High Class Butchers, who have built a reputation for providing high class, quality meat and have won awards for their speciality sausages. In fact, Graham Eyes was voted ‘Best Butcher in Lancashire’ in June 2019, after a poll hosted by the Lancashire Evening Post saw over 500 readers vote for their favourite Lancashire butchery establishment.

The store also provides an impressive Clayton Park Deli, serving delicious, fresh food to go, a speciality wines section and a selection of self-service checkouts.

Chris Gregory (Store Manager of SPAR G&E Murgatroyd Warton) and Robert Eggo (Area Manager) attended the awards evening and were delighted with the result.
