The SPAR City of Preston 10K will return to Preston city centre again on Sunday 24th September at 9.30am as the final leg of The SPAR Series.

Sponsored by SPAR for a third year in a row, through its association with James Hall & Co. Ltd, the SPAR City of Preston 10K will start and finish in the historic city centre Flag Market where the athlete’s village will be located.

Once again, the 10K route will take in Preston’s picturesque Avenham Park, before the fantastic riverside section swings back towards the city centre for the finish.

Delivered by Quest Events, the organisation teamed up with James Hall & Co. Ltd to include the SPAR City of Preston 10K within The SPAR Series for 2023, creating a new series of local running races helping to inspire active lifestyles in communities.

The series also included the iconic Tour of Tameside in June and the Ron Hill Accrington 10K in April this year, with the three established events attracting thousands of runners.

Quest Events are committed to creating an enjoyable occasion for the whole community, and the popular MyFirst Mile event for adults and children will also be an option for people to sign up to at the SPAR City of Preston 10K.

All finishers will receive a commemorative SPAR City of Preston 10K medal and technical T-shirt, and the race includes official chip timing, route markers at every kilometre, and a fully marshalled route.
