SPAR Alder Drive is the new home of Gregson Lane’s Post Office

Gregson Lane’s relocated Post Office has been launched in SPAR independent retailer Bhavesh Parekh’s Alder Drive store.

Through the new location, a much-improved Post Office service is being delivered for the local community with the counter open seven days a week from 8am until 8pm Monday to Sunday.

People living in and around the village of Gregson Lane now have 84 hours of Post Office service each week at SPAR Alder Drive, a huge increase of 47-and-a-half extra hours each week from where the Post Office was located previously.

The Post Office service point is sat alongside the retail counter providing a wide range of Post Office services including mails and parcels, cash withdrawals and deposits, bill payments and much more.

Maya Ellis MP for Ribble Valley made an official visit to congratulate Bhavesh on his new venture and he and his team then celebrated with a community opening which included children from Brindle Gregson Lane Primary School taking part in a colouring competition and visiting SPAR Alder Drive.

Bhavesh Parekh said: “I’m so pleased to be taking on the Post Office as part of our store. I know how much the Post Office service means to people in Gregson Lane and my team and I are really looking forward to welcoming new customers.

“I’ve been growing our business for four years with a wider offering for the local community so it’s great to now add Post Office services to our store and really be the one-stop-shop for local people and visitors.”
