Staff at James Hall & Co.’s Preston depot have been taking part in a dedicated Marie Curie Donation Drive, bringing in quality clothes, shoes and handbags from home to help support vulnerable families dealing with terminal illness.
The donations collected will be shared between Marie Curie’s dedicated charity shops, hospices and volunteer circles, helping to raise as much as possible for the charity.
James Hall & Co. have worked with Marie Curie since March 2017, and have an active calendar of fundraising events, having raising over £100,000 for Marie Curie in 2018. In January 2019, SPAR UK announced that they had passed the £1 million mark in funds raised for Marie Curie – the equivalent of 50,000 hours of expert care from Marie Curie Nurses.
This is the first time that James Hall & Co. have hosted a donation drive and are planning to hold further collections over the coming year, including a children’s toys collection, and a toiletries collection.
