Staff from SPAR Milnthorpe have donated festive treats for Age UK’s South Lakeland Christmas raffle, including two Christmas hampers, a selection of luxury chocolate gift boxes and 20 mouth-watering, Clayton Park Christmas puddings.

Age UK South Lakeland looks after the needs of local residents aged 50+, providing specialist services, care and advice. Their Christmas raffle will run across three of their Age UK charity shops throughout December; Milnthorpe, Ulverston and Grange-Over-Sands.

Lynda Holt, Deputy Head of Retail for Age UK South Lakeland said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been given these donations by SPAR and a special thank you to the staff at SPAR Milnthorpe who put together two lovely Christmas hampers for us.

“SPAR plays a very important part in supporting our local community and it is lovely to have their support at a time of year which can be very lonely for many residents. Age UK works to combat loneliness and poor physical and mental health within the community, providing a range of services such as exercise classes and coffee mornings across the region.

“Our Christmas raffle will help to ensure that local people do not feel isolated throughout the festive period by utilising the services that we offer. For more information, visit https://www.ageuk.org.uk/southlakeland/ or if you need support, call Age UK’s helpline on 030 300 30003.”
